Every child will be encouraged to show pride in themselves and their abilities. This in turn will provide a wealth of social skills enabling them to talk and express their own views and feelings on a one to one basis and within a group setting. This will be achieved in a variety of fun and interesting ways, using praise and encouragement, and so increasing each child’s independence, self-esteem and confidence.
“Children are interested and motivated to learn. They have positive attitudes to each other and are keen to be involved in activities. They are confident, learning to take turns, work co-operatively, share fairly and to show consideration to others. Their behaviour is good and their self-esteem, confidence and independence is promoted by staff through praise, encouragement and support.” Ofsted Jan 2004.
